Fertility

Helping You Navigate Your Path To Fertility

When we were kids, we were all warned about how easy it was to get pregnant. We were assured that it could happen at any moment and yet, now that you want to have a child, it isn’t so easy. Whether you are having trouble getting pregnant, staying pregnant, or simply want to get your body ready for pregnancy, we can help. The West End Mamas therapies are complementary to IVF and other fertility treatments, and support your whole self: mental, physical, and emotional.

We can help you get closer to building the family you have always wanted.

Fertility Services

Balance your hormones, enhance your fertility, naturally decrease stress, and get ready for your upcoming journey into motherhood.

Acupuncture

Start by balancing your body with acupuncture. Acupuncture is the process of inserting tiny needles along energy lines in the body. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture balances the body’s systems to achieve overall optimal health. Acupuncture is a relaxing, non-invasive option for people trying to conceive. It has been shown to improve fertility, increase conception, and decrease miscarriage rates. It is also complementary to other fertility treatments and is proven to enhance their efficacy when used in conjunction.

Psychotherapy & Counselling

Becoming a mother is one of the most impactful life transitions that many women will go through. During the fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum journey we inevitably take care of our physical needs but it is just as prudent to care for our mental and emotional selves. Psychotherapy can help release old wounds, address fears, and combat any small problems before they become big issues.

Homeopathy

Deciding to have a child is an exciting and hopeful time that can easily become rooted in anger and despair if fertility doesn’t come easily. Homeopathy can help restore your body to its natural, physical state while increasing your fertility and preparing yourself for parenthood. Homeopathy is based on the principle of Like Heals Like. Since homeopathy works with the body as a whole, it is a perfect addition to any health regimen, balancing your body while uncovering and healing old wounds or disease. West End Mamas homeopathy treatments are integrated with mindfulness practice and complementary to any of our other services.

Give your body a fresh start, overcome bad food habits, decrease cravings, and prepare your body for an optimal pregnancy with the right nutrition. The right food choices can even enhance the quality and viability of your eggs! A registered dietician can help you make those choices for your body and your future family. Co-create a dietary action plan that fits into your busy lifestyle.

Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy

It’s never too early to prepare your pelvic floor for motherhood. Pelvic health physiotherapy can help alleviate any pre-existing pelvic pain or imbalance. Preparing your pelvic floor through physiotherapy treatments will help prevent tearing and scarring during labour. It also decreases your recovery time and alleviates pregnancy and postpartum discomfort. Physiotherapy treatments can start any time throughout your pregnancy, as a postpartum option, or if you experience symptoms such as bladder control issues, abdominal and/or back pain, pain or discomfort during sex.
